Teen Group

Our high school Teen Group (grades 9-12) meets every month. Our students attend many different local high schools and often bring friends to our gatherings. Sometimes we prepare food together and play games on our campus. Sometimes we go on outings like bowling, laser tag, escape rooms, and skating. We’d love to have your teen join us!

Upcoming Scheduled Events

Sunday morning High School Bible Study begins September 13 at 9:15 a.m. in the 5th grade classroom.

The first event will be combined with the group from Christ, Big Bend – volleyball, a bonfire, and food along with planning for the year from 6-8 p.m on September 20th.

We’ve also been invited to join them for the first WELS national on-line teen Bible study on September 27^th at 6 p.m.

Discord Group

We are using the Discord app platform. We are encouraging other local WELS congregations to use it as well so that we can coordinate activities for the kids with bigger groups. This will be our main avenue for making announcements and posting events, pics, etc…

I know there are some who are leery of this particular app (because it has been misused and has apparently gained a questionable reputation). Please know that it will be a private group for our WELS families to use. We’d love to have your kids be invited to use this and post things here, but it will be up to you and your discretion to invite them. If at any time you have concerns about any content or activity occurring on this platform please bring it to Pastor Westendorf’s attention. We’ll be closely monitoring how and by whom it is being used. Thank you!!
