Ladies Advent by Candlelight: Christmas Begins with Christ

Advent by Candlelight is an event to help women focus on Christ during the busy holiday season. All ladies of the congregation (ages 6th grade and up), their female family members, friends, and neighbors are invited to attend and gather for dessert and fellowship followed by an Advent service program. The program focuses on the Word of God in a quiet setting to help everyone focus on the true meaning of Christmas. Through narration, readings, prayer, and music, the evening will draw those attending to see Christ as their Savior. There is no charge for this event.

Be a Hostess

Volunteer to be a table hostess! Hostesses provide table settings, holiday decorations, candles and a dessert for a table of 8. Many partner with one or two others to host a table. It’s lots of fun and requires only a few hours of your time for planning, baking (or buying) and decorating. Refreshments are provided by Ladies REJOICE. If you want to host a table, sign-up on the sheets in the Narthex.

Others are invited to enjoy the hospitality and the wonderful desserts provided by the hostesses. Reserve a seat for yourself and anyone attending with you by signing up for open seats on the sign-up sheets in the Narthex. Should you need transportation to/from this event, there is also a sign-up sheet for that.

Advent by Candlelight Choir

The choir is looking for more voices this year. This is open to women ages 6th grade and up. There are 3 Monday rehearsals–Nov 10, Nov 17, and Nov 24 at 6:00pm in the church balcony. In addition, there will be a dress rehearsal Saturday morning Nov 29 at 9:00am, and warm-up is 5:30pm on Sunday Nov 30 just before the service itself.
