Dinner for Eight
Building Faith, Friendship & Fellowship—One Meal at a Time
What is Dinner for Eight?
Dinner for Eight is where adult church members gather in one another’s homes for a casual dinner.
The Goal?
To build deeper relationships in our church community through shared meals, laughter, and conversation.
Why Participate?
- Build Real Connections — Get to know fellow believers beyond weekend services.
- Create a Welcoming Space —Open your home or visit someone else’s—hospitality blesses both the giver and the receiver.
- Enjoy Great Food — Every meal shared is a celebration of God’s provision and our community.
- Grow Spiritually Together — Meaningful conversations often start over dinner.
How It Works
There will be three events scheduled throughout the church year:
- September/October
- January/February
- June/July
Notes
- Groups will be rotated for each event to help build new connections.
- Hosts who feel they may not be able to accommodate an event of this size can coordinate the event as a “Dutch treat” at a local restaurant.
- Please reach out to Beth Leverence if you have questions at ba*********@***il.com or (414) 916-0473.
Next Steps
- Sign Up – Choose to be a Host, Guest, or Floater (willing to do either)
- Get Matched – People will be organized into groups of 6-8 people
- Set a Date – Each group will decide a date that works for everyone during that 2-month period
- Host Communicates Theme — Host provides the main dish and basic beverages and coordinates with the others to bring accompanying sides
- Share a Meal – Meet, eat, laugh, pray—and repeat with new faces!
